Melvin David Dimm, age 82, passed away Saturday morning, September 30th, 2017 at the Sanctuary in Dublin, OH after a battle with Parkinson’s. Born December 8th, 1934 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Ralph and Ruby (Ballard) Dimm, Melvin was a devoted husband, father, and Christian. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda (Emberton) Dimm; his daughter, Elizabeth Dimm of Ormond Beach, FL; his son and daughter in law, David and Teresa Dimm of Hilliard, OH; his two sisters, Nancy Hulett of Lexington, KY, and Sandra Taylor of Versailles, KY; four grandchildren, Charles, Vanessa, Stacey, and Dakota; ten great-grandchildren, and nine nieces and nephews. After graduating from high school in Denver, CO and serving in the Army after the Korean War, Melvin did a brief stint with the railroads and then became a tool and die maker – a career he continued until retirement. He also taught Sunday School for many years with his wife, and most recently was a member of the Fishinger and Kenny Church of Christ in Columbus. A memorial service will be held at Fishinger and Kenny Church of Christ at 1130 Fishinger Road in Columbus at 3pm on Saturday, October 7th, 2017.
